Shipping & Returns

Blue Ridge Gems ships natural gemstones, crystals, rough and jewelry carefully packed for collectors, jewelers and dealers. This page summarizes how we ship and how returns work. Policies may be refined before launch — see notes marked confirm.

Shipping

  • Insured shipping. Orders ship with carrier tracking. Higher-value pieces are packed and insured for transit. Exact insurance thresholds and signature requirements: confirm with Patrick.
  • Domestic (United States). Typical processing is a few business days after payment clears, then carrier transit. Rush options: confirm availability.
  • International. Available on request for many items. Buyer is responsible for customs, duties and local taxes. Not every piece ships internationally — ask before ordering high-value stones.
  • Packaging. Stones and jewelry are cushioned and discreetly packed. We do not print stone values on the outer label.

Returns

  • Return window. Unaltered, in-stock gemstones and jewelry may be returned within 14 days of delivery for a refund of the item price (shipping may be non-refundable). Exact window: confirm if you prefer 10 days (common among gem dealers) or 14.
  • Condition. Items must be unused, unaltered, and returned in sellable condition with original packaging when provided. Faceted rough that has been cut or altered cannot be returned.
  • Custom and commissioned jewelry. Custom-made or specially commissioned pieces are final sale unless we made an error in the order.
  • How to start a return. Email us with your order number and reason before shipping anything back. We will provide the return address and instructions.

Make an Offer & wholesale

Pieces over $1,000 (and tagged make-offer items) include a Make an Offer option. We reply by email. Approved wholesale accounts receive trade pricing — apply for wholesale.

Unknowns to confirm before treating this as final policy: insurance carrier and thresholds, signature-required amount, preferred return window (10 vs 14 days), who pays return shipping on buyer’s-remorse returns, and international flat rules.
